Business & Company Valuations

Independent Business Valuations in the UAE

Many valuations in the UAE are prepared by someone with an interest in the answer: a broker hoping to list the business, an adviser on the deal, or a shareholder's own accountant. An independent valuation is one where the valuer has no interest in the result and no role in the transaction.

We are instructed when a board, a group of shareholders, a bank or an auditor needs a figure that will be accepted because of who prepared it, not only because of what it says.

Situations

When UAE clients ask for this valuation

  1. 1Shareholders with different interests need a figure they can all accept.
  2. 2A board decision must be supported by an objective valuation.
  3. 3A bank, investor or auditor asks for third-party evidence of value.
  4. 4You want an independent check on a valuation prepared by an interested party.

What we value

The subject of the valuation

Businesses, companies and ownership interests of every size, on whatever basis of value the decision requires.

Our method

How we reach the figure

Independence affects the process as much as the method. Before accepting an instruction we check for conflicts and agree who the valuation is for and who may rely on it. Where several parties are involved, we agree in writing how information is shared and whether parties may comment on matters of fact.

The valuation itself applies the approaches appropriate to the business. Assumptions are stated openly, alternatives are considered and judgements are explained.
