How we work

How a UAE valuation works

Each stage and what you receive
StageWhat happens
1.Initial discussionWe discuss the business, the ownership interest and why the valuation is needed. We ask where the company is licensed, mainland, free zone, DIFC or ADGM, and who will rely on the result. For disputes, we check the parties for conflicts before discussing anything substantive. An understanding of the question to be answered
2.Scope and information requestWe agree the valuation basis, the valuation date, the deliverable and the fee, and send a tailored list of documents: typically audited accounts, management accounts, forecasts, the MoA and any shareholders' agreement, trade licence details and related-party information.Engagement letter and document request
3.Financial and commercial analysisWe review financial statements and forecasts, normalise earnings for owner and related-party items, examine the balance sheet including end-of-service gratuity and partner balances, and study the ownership structure and market evidence.Normalised earnings, balance sheet and structure review
4.Independent valuationWe apply the approaches suited to the business and purpose, test them against each other and reach a reasoned conclusion, with sensitivity analysis on the judgements that matter most.A reasoned conclusion of value
5.Internal reviewEvery valuation is reviewed before release. Where agreed, factual matters can be checked with you; the conclusion of value remains ours.Review and factual accuracy check
6.Report and findingsWe issue the agreed report, explain the principal conclusions and remain available for questions from you, your auditor, the Federal Tax Authority or the other party, as the engagement allows. The report, and support after delivery
